Finals Week/Woche der Abschlussklausuren

This is finals week, Peter and I are more busy than usual (which is hardly possible).  So you will not hear so much from me.   Jonathan has his last day of classes on Friday and will have finals the following week.  He is coming home next Thursday!  Charlotte will take the SAT this coming Saturday.  She has been having a bad cold and we hope she will be feeling better soon.  It was very warm today, we even have a wildfire warning!  That is hard to believe, but no person in NYS is allowed to have an outdoor fire until last May.  We even got a phone call from the county about this.  We have to take Julius back to the vet, his leg was healing nicely, but now it is swollen again: Not good!

  1. Good luck to all of you with the exams! (Yes, that wildfire warning is so reminiscent of CA and very odd!)

    1. Had my final German 102 exam today. One student was sick and has to take it next week. Now the grading can start . . .

Today, it was much cooler and rained a lot.

  2. I have my usual weekly prayers with Uncle Bry this evening so will be putting you, Peter, Jonathan and Charlotte in the intercession. It has been fun following J's college life via Instagram, I think he has his dad's sense of humour 😂❤️

    1. Is he your real uncle? This is so kind of you! Charlotte takes her test from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Yes, Jonathan can be quite funny in a clever way. He just got promoted to senior writer of the college newspaper he writes for (and where he makes money to pay for personal expenses). We are all very happy for him!

    2. Uncle Bry and Aunty Maureen ( now deceased) are our adopted family! They both have played an important part in our family since 1999. I used to pray with Aunty Mo and Uncle Bry every Thursday evening and since her death, it is just Uncle Bry and myself. We prayed for you all :-) So pleased that your Saturday turned out well, especially for Charlotte!

Congratulations to Mr J for promotion to the college newspaper, not only in recognition for his talent but also I'm sure some extra money will prove to be very useful! Happy Sunday to you all xx

    3. Ah, I remember "Aunt Maureen," but somehow her husband's name did not ring a bell. Thanks so much for praying for us. Yes, Jonathan needs to money to pay for his car and some food :).

    1. Thanks, Dorina! Well, Julius seems to be doing okay. The vet was a bit puzzled by his swollen leg. She prescribed a different antibiotic. He only has to take it for five days. He does not seem to be in pain and is using his leg normally, but there is a small lump where the bite was. We have to wait until Monday to see if his leg has changed or not.
